Mike Wesch's "Anthropological Introduction to YouTube" was an informative video about the history and culture of YouTube. There were several points and observations made during the presentation which I felt could apply to my final project.

Just out today, NFI Research, a U.S.-based research firm that identifies and analyzes trends and attitudes in business, organizational management, information technology and organizational behavior, posted their Top Public Libraries on Twitter List as of November 4, 2009. Library 101

The Library 101 Project debuted today at the 2009 Internet Librarian Conference. http://www.libraryman.com/library101/

This is a project started by Michael Porter and David Lee King to invite librarians to develop the skills needed to adapt to the changing environment.

While the homepage of Library 101 has a YouTube multimedia message to promote the "campaign," the site also offers Library 101 RTK, Resources and Things to Know.

Just watched David Lee King's slides from his presentation at the Internet Librarian 2009 Conference. David Lee King is the Digital Branch & Services Manager at the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library, where he plans, implements, and experiments with emerging technology trends. College Twitter Courses

I've been reading about journalism students taking classes about Twitter. For example, Australia's Griffith University recently made Twitter education a mandatory course for journalism students. http://mashable.com/2009/10/23/twitter-class/
